SLA – Schoenstatt Language Academy

SLA is an Initiative of the Secular Institute of Schoenstatt Fathers, which offers German language courses, levels A1, A2, B1 and B2. Our institute is founded in Germany with a charism to renew the church and the society through the covenant of love with our heavenly Mother. Therefore, we have excellent faculty, among which we have priests, who were trained in Germany and have many years of experience studying and working in Germany. The students who come to us thereby greatly appreciate the classes in SLA. They learn not only the language, but also the German culture and life style, which are very important for those who aspire to go to Germany in order to work or to study.

            Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long do I have to learn German in order to pass B2?

It starts with basic level A1, which lasts for 2 months(8 weeks), then A2 for 2 months (8 weeks), followed by B1 for 2 months(9 weeks), then B2 for 3 months(12 weeks). After one months preparation course, you will be eligible to appear for the B2 Exam. Altogether it comes around 10 months.

  • Can I directly join B1 or B2?

Yes, provided you need to have sufficient knowledge of levels A1 and A2, if necessary, the institute will conduct an exam to find out your current knowledge level in order to assign you the right course.

  • Do you give placement in Germany?

No, we do not guarantee you placement in Germany. But we will provide you with all the help in order to find a placement in Germany, as possible as we could.

  • Do we need to study one year ‘Studienkolleg’ in Germany, if we aspire to do Nursing in Germany after Plus Two studies?

No, You are eligible to apply for diploma in Nursing with your Plus Two Certificate and your B2 certificate.

  • Can I apply for Nursing course in Germany with a NIOS certificate?

No, you need to have a regular Plus Two certificate

  • Which certification does SLA have?

SLA conducts Telc exams in cooperation with ‘Sprachforum Augsburg’ (Telc- Certified Centre) with   language Lab. The German officials come here and conduct the exams regularly here. However, due to the current corona crisis, they haven’t come last year. When the condition becomes better, then it will take place regularly. During this time, we help the students to appear for the Goethe exams.

  • Is Telc Certificate different from Goethe?

No, both certificates have got same value. The pattern of both the exams are more or less the same.

  • Do I need to show a huge amount in the bank account as we apply for Visa to do Nursing in Germany?

No.

  • How much does the course cost?

A1 – 10,000
