Gennie, from the United States, heard about the projects of the Schoenstatt Fathers in India and extended her little hands. Genevieve is her complete name. Jim and Ruth O’Gara are her parents.
Her mother writes: Gennie is seven years old. She has always been a very sweet and gentle child. Every week the children get one dollar for helping around the house. Gennie helps out by setting the table, putting away dishes, cleaning the bathroom, and cleaning her room.
The children are required to give some money to church. They have to put some into savings and they have a little left to spend. Gennie often makes her contribution to church and puts the part she is allowed to spend in "the jar for Father Joy".
When her grandfather gave her money on her birthday she asked right away if she could “give some to the Father for the children who need a school.”
She has heard Father Joy speak about a children’s village where poor children would be loved and educated. Gennie knows there isn't any thing she could buy that would be as good as helping to bring God’s love to other children. She does it quietly but with a big smile.
Gennie collected and offered over $27 to Fr. Joy.
Thank you Gennie and God bless you!
