Fr Lourdu Xavier accompanied pilgrims to Fatima
For a week’s program, Fr Lourdu Xavier visited Fatima together with a group of Tamilians from Manchester. He writes about his wonderful experience:
We were 60 including kids. As a Chaplin, I looked after all their spiritual needs including the Holy Mass, confession, rosary and Way of the Cross. I could celebrate most of the Masses in the apparition church. Independent of all our spiritual activities, we could find time to go around Fatima and Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. The pilgrims were simply fantastic and pious. They looked after me with care and concern. I really had a very good time with them. Fatima is a place of silence and prayer.
