Joy of Knowing India Closely
My name is Ruston Aaker. I'm a 21 year old student from America and I’ve spent the last several months traveling through southern India. Roughly each month I have been changing locations, and staying with the Schoenstatt Fathers, helping to teach spoken English with varying age groups. In my free time I have been able to travel to yet more places in India trying to see as much as I can in the time I have. It’s been a great experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to experience another culture for real and not from a tourist prospective.
My final month here I stayed at the Sunrise Children's Village - a village which the Schoenstatt Fathers have set up for orphaned or otherwise abandoned children, creating a family environment and offering them a good education, as opposed to the Government orphanage system. It is a wonderful project very worth seeing and supporting.
