The past three months have passed very fast but witnessed many colorful events in the students’ Community in Bangalore. Kumanan reports:
The eight new priests had a beautiful time when they came for the first time to their formation house after their ordination. They celebrated the Holy Eucharist to thank God for their calling. The new priests remembered with gratitude those who accompanied them. The students welcomed them with joy and prepared a remarkable cultural program in which they were forced to remember of their past and funny days as students.
The Schoenstatt Youth and the new priests came together in the shrine for a thanksgiving Mass. The new priests are the ones who formed the Schoenstatt youth groups in Bangalore when they were students. At the end of the Mass the representatives of the youth groups conveyed their gratitude for having introduced them to the Schoenstatt.
Several people from surrounding villages including from different religious communities participated in the celebration to mark the end of the rosary month. Fr. Richard from the St. Paul’s Fathers was the main celebrant of the Eucharist. A procession was set after the Mass that went through the layout where many more people could join in. The faithful carried burning candles and prayed the rosary. The celebration ended with benediction and refreshments.
This year’s annual retreat offered the house community another opportunity to encounter God and oneself. Fr Pushparaj, the retreat preacher, inspired our souls with meditative thoughts and reflections.
