In Kerala, April and May are very hot and the schools are closed for vacation. The boys enjoy their time playing and visiting with their relatives. This is a very hard time to hold regular meetings of the Schoenstatt boys. Generally the first of June is the beginning of the Monsoon and also the beginning of the academic year. Though there is no vacation for the Schoenstatt boys, the attendance is lower during the summer.
Last Sunday June 17, marked the official start of the youth meeting in Aluva where the seminarians of the Schoenstatt Study House are actively involved in the Schoenstatt Youth ministry. Fr. Francis inaugurated the meeting by lighting the Indian lamp. Twenty-one boys were there for the meeting. Many more boys were expected, but because of heavy rain they could not all come. Every third Sunday of the month they come together for different activities.
